| Sustainability Curriculum Program... | Enhancing environmental education through a community project based process which engages both environmental and human needs. |

Description: Work with the California Tahoe Conservancy (CTC) to address neighborhood use and overall effectiveness issues for three drainage basins in the Kings Beach area. The students will design and produce bilingual informative signs to stop neighborhood children from using the basins as bicycle tracks. They will also monitor vegetation establishment in the basins and examine how basins work to improve water quality. This study will add to knowledge about culturally appropriate environmental education and can promote appropriate outdoor uses of the environment.
