Schedule:

Fall, 1996

  1. What is a Watershed? Adopt-a-Watershed, Lesson 1
    Making a Place for Wildlife. Adopt-a-Watershed, Lesson 2
    Wildlife games
  2. Visit Trout Creek
    Evaluate habitat; status of necessary components, needs of wildlife, limiting factors?
  3. Restoration Phase I: trash removal.
  4. 7th Grade Science Curriculum
    Study local topo maps; contour lines, how to read a map
    Learn to use a compass and topo maps
  5. Visit Trout Creek
    Map creek using GPS with Forest Service
    Identify areas of erosion
    Study stream flow, sediment loads
  6. Present map to Town Council
    How can student work fit into Town Master Plan?
